We cover both Caterham Valley and Caterham on the Hill, along with Whyteleafe, Warlingham and the surrounding area. The two halves of the town are quite distinct. The Valley has Victorian and Edwardian terraces and villas along its older roads, while Caterham on the Hill mixes former barracks-era and inter-war property with extensive post-war and modern development, including the newer housing around the old barracks site. Sitting high on the North Downs, Caterham catches noticeably more wind and weather than the towns below it: something we take into account when specifying seals, thresholds and glazing on exposed elevations. ### Property types we work on here - Victorian and Edwardian terraces and villas in the Valley - Inter-war and post-war housing on the Hill - Modern development around the former barracks - Larger detached homes on the surrounding slopes ### What Caterham customers most often need - Replacement of failing double glazing on post-war housing - Period-appropriate frames for Valley terraces - Draught-proofing and warmer glazing on exposed elevations - Porches at exposed front doors - Bi-folds and patio doors on rear extensions - Conservatory roof conversions for year-round use Services ## Services available in Caterham ### Services available in Caterham PVC WindowsModern & traditional – casement and flush View product → PVC DoorsSingle – French – sliding patio View product → Aluminium WindowsModern & traditional – casement, heritage and flush View product → Aluminium DoorsSingle – French – slimline patio – bi-folding doors View product → Roof systemsPVC and aluminium – conservatories – porches – orangeries – roof lights – lanterns View product → Spitfire luxury entrance doorsS100, S200, S400, S500, S600, S700, internal steel doors View product → Timber windows and doorsCasement, flush and sliding sash windows – single and French doors View product → Why choose us ## Why Caterham homeowners choose Team Frames - A short run from our South Godstone base up the A22 - Our own in-house installation teams - 9.83 out of 10 from 191 Checkatrade reviews - FENSA certification for installations (as applicable), CHAS accredited and InstallSure covered - Free, no-obligation survey and a single written quotation - 10-year comprehensive insurance-backed guarantee on all installations Local issues ## Common glazing problems in Caterham ### Height and exposure Caterham on the Hill sits high on the North Downs and takes real weather. Driving rain on an exposed elevation finds any weakness in a threshold or seal, which is why detailing matters more here than in a sheltered valley street. ### Cold rooms and heat loss Exposed, older housing loses heat quickly through failing glazing. Replacing tired units on the weather side of a property is usually the change people notice first. ### Steep access and parking Several of the older streets are steep with limited on-street parking. We plan access and unloading at survey so installation day is not a scramble. Questions ## Caterham questions, answered ### Do you cover Caterham? Yes. Caterham is part of our regular working area. We are based at Unit 6 Brickhouse Farm Trading Estate in South Godstone, a short run from Caterham, and we have four installers working as two teams on the road. ### How soon can you survey a property in Caterham? Call us Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm and we will book a survey directly with you. The survey is free and carries no obligation, and we confirm the appointment and the likely programme in writing. ### What does a window or door installation cost in Caterham? Every property is different, so we quote after a free survey rather than publishing prices. Your written quotation covers the survey, frames, glass, fitting, full making good inside and out, rubbish removal and certification; there are no extras added afterwards. ### Are you FENSA registered for work in Caterham? Yes. We are a FENSA registered installer. Installations are FENSA-certified as applicable, with a certificate issued where the work qualifies. Trade supply-only is not FENSA-certified. Where FENSA applies, certification handles the relevant notification. We will confirm the requirements for your project. We are also CHAS accredited and our installations are covered by InstallSure. ### What guarantee do I get in Caterham? All of our installations carry a 10-year comprehensive insurance-backed guarantee underwritten through InstallSure, alongside full product care and after-sales service. ### Do you handle emergencies or urgent repairs in Caterham? We carry out repairs, replacement glass and sliders across the area during our normal hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call us with the details and we will tell you honestly when we can attend rather than promising a slot we cannot keep. ### Can trade customers in Caterham buy supply only? Yes. Send drawings or a schedule and we will quote from them. Finished frames can be collected from our Godstone trade counter, where there is ample parking, or delivered on request. ### Which parts of Caterham do you cover? Caterham Valley, Caterham on the Hill, Whyteleafe, Warlingham and the surrounding area: all within our normal working territory. ### What helps most with cold, draughty rooms? Usually a combination: modern sealed units, properly compressed weather seals and correct installation of the frame into the reveal. We will identify which of those is actually the problem at survey.
